Over the years, NAB, Unit Maharashtra, has played a crucial role in transforming the lives of the visually impaired and individuals with multiple disabilities. Through education, vocational training, and holistic development, these individuals have gone on to achieve remarkable milestones. Today, many of them hold esteemed positions as physiotherapists, chartered accountants, bank officers, professors, Paralympic athletes, gold medalist swimmers, international judo players, mountaineers, and successful entrepreneurs. Their relentless spirit, coupled with NAB’s unwavering support, has resulted in outstanding achievements, including individuals receiving awards from the President of India. What was once deemed unimaginable has now become a reality—visually impaired individuals are stepping into roles as IAS and IPS officers, proving that disability is not a limitation but a challenge to overcome.

A Legacy of Inspiration NAB, Unit Maharashtra, has been blessed with the support and encouragement of renowned poet and writer, the late Shri V. V. Shirwadkar (Kusumagraj), who was a strong advocate of its mission.
