There are 18 district branches in Maharashtra to provide welfare services to the visually impaired. Where there is no district branch, NAB ties up with a local NGO and works with it to reach people needing help even in the remotest parts in the district.

NAB RAIGAD ACTIVITY CENTRE:
NAB started its activities for the welfare of women in Alibag and Murud talukas in the year 2002. From 2016 onwards, the scope of work was extended and the centre was renamed as, “NAB Raigad Activity Centre”. Instead of limiting its welfare activities to women only, the centre extended its services to men in need as well and started covering various disabilities in addition to impaired vision. After a careful assessment of the disability, all options of treatment are considered objectively and integrated medical, exercise and training plans are chalked out to treat the individual. The NAB, Unit Maharashtra shoulders the responsibility of funding all expenses. Subsequent activities involve education, vocational training, computer operating, employment and self-employment. The Centre generates and supplements its own income by making and selling products like garlands, fancy torans, gift items, artificial flower bouquets, floating and spice gel candles, fancy folders, imitation jewelry, artistic rakhis, micrum wall hangings, coir and paper doormats etc.
